  • Piper Butchers New EP "Directions".

Piper Butcher On SingerlinX The last few years have seen the rise of Newcastle country artist, Piper Butcher. After being crowned the inaugural winner of the CMAA Young Achiever Award, she didn’t slow down - she increased her output and took her music to the people, continually refining her songs by road testing them in front of live audiences across the globe. As a result, her maturity and evolving artistry are evident on her brand-new EP, “Directions”, due for release on Friday 23 rd October 2026 through Community Music. PRE SAVE HERE. “I am so proud of this collection of music”, says Butcher. “This year I’ve taken a new direction with songwriting, being upfront and writing exactly what I’m thinking and feeling, rather than being metaphorical with every song. It has encouraged me to find inspiration in more places and delve deeper into other people's music to learn from as well. All of these songs are me down to a tee.” Produced by Andy Mak (The McClymonts/Brooke & Adam), the EP showcases five original songs including co-writes with Austin Mackay and Kingswood’s Alex Laska, that not only grew their friendship but allowed Butcher to explore the scary feelings that were difficult to describe in song. The balance of the tracks sit between crazy ideas that woke her up at 2am begging to be heard and confronting feelings that flowed out when written in full. The title, “Directions”, came from Butcher’s love of all musical genres. “I’ve always created music with the idea of serving the song and I wasn’t trying to stick to a certain sound or brand. But it’s evident to me now - I’m a country artist, through and through. And this feels like the first EP I’ve released that is cohesive and packed to the brim with my musical identity.” “I hope you love this EP. I feel like there’s a story for everyone; songs for people travelling in any direction of their life!” Red Rebel Music

  • MELANIE DYER COMES HOME WITH THE RELEASE OF NEW SINGLE ‘COUNTRY ENOUGH’ + THIRD STUDIO ALBUM ‘DAISIES FROM DIRT’

Melanie Dyer - Daisies from Dirt Melanie Dyer On SingerlinX After a transformative year chasing her musical dreams halfway across the world, powerhouse singer-songwriter Melanie Dyer returns to Australian soil with her third and most authentic studio album, Daisies From Dirt (ABC Music). Arriving alongside the bouncy, Sheryl Crow-meets-The Chicks focus single, ‘Country Enough,’ the album captures the deeply personal space between homesickness and freedom. Written against the backdrop of relocating to Nashville and the bittersweet sale of her family’s regional NSW farm, the ten-track record chronicles the journey of a country kid navigating the raw detours of a global career. Recorded live at Saxman Studios with Nashville producer Grady Saxman, the album trades polished tracking for a dynamic, live-band energy—moving seamlessly from intimate acoustics and pedal steel to full-throttle country-pop anthems. Standout tracks range from the atmospheric, dark-country cautionary tale of ‘Twinkle’ to the vulnerable, deeply personal grief of ‘Three Daughters’. With over 14 million career streams, three Golden Guitar nominations, and landmark performances at CMA Fest and SXSW under her belt, Dyer is celebrating the release with a run of intimate East Coast tour dates. Backed by her first-ever vinyl release, the tour culminates in a headline performance at the Tamworth Country Music Festival in January 2027. Stream "Daisies From Dirt" HERE

  • JAKE DAVEY EMBRACES LIFE, LOVE AND SECOND CHANCES WITHNEW EP ‘RIGHT WHERE I’M AT’ Six tracks, one new chapter and a party anthem in new single ‘Wildside’

Stream HERE Jake Davey On SingerlinX Bursting with big drums and an infectious country-pop chorus made to be sung at full volume, Jake Davey’s new single ‘Wildside’ is a bonafide dancefloor filler. It arrives alongside the Aussie country-pop riser’s six-track EP, Right Where I’m At - a bold, heartfelt snapshot of an artist embracing exactly where life has landed him. ‘Wildside’ follows Davey’s previous single ‘No Good for Me’, which reached #10 on the AMRAP Community Radio Regional Airplay Chart and #20 on the Tasmanian Oz CMR Country Airplay Chart, alongside extensive editorial playlisting on Apple Music and Spotify. Co-written in Nashville with Jackson James and David Evans, the track celebrates that one person in every group who can turn a good night into a great one. “It’s that girl who’s always up for a good time,” explains Jake. “The life of the party who, after one drink, is ready to send it and let that wild side come out. I wanted the song to feel as energetic and infectious as the character it’s about, so sonically I leaned into a modern country-pop sound with a big, polished production that still feels organic.” That energy makes ‘Wildside’ a natural doorway into Right Where I’m At, an EP that captures Davey at a pivotal point both personally and creatively. Across its six tracks, he moves between feel-good country-pop, more traditional country influences and vulnerable ruminations on relationships, family, growing older and making the most of the time you have. “Right Where I’m At is probably the best representation of where I am as an artist right now. I’ve been through a lot over the past few years, both personally and creatively, and I wanted this EP to capture all of those different sides of me. There’s the energetic, upbeat country songs, but there are also songs that are a little more vulnerable and reflective.” Years in the making, the EP was pieced together at home and abroad. “I’ve spent a lot of time developing my sound, writing, producing and working on music in Nashville, and I feel like everything I’ve done over the past few years has led me to this project. The title Right Where I’m At really sums that up for me. I’m not trying to be somewhere else or pretend to be something I’m not, this is where I’m at right now, and I’m really proud of this project.” That broader picture comes into focus across the rest of the record. ‘Workin’ On Me’ was inspired by finding out Davey was going to become a father for the first time, bringing a more traditional and organic country sound to his desire to become the best version of himself for his family. ‘Til It’s Over’ tackles getting older from the other direction, turning the realisation that time is finite into a reminder to take chances, make mistakes and have a crack while you can. Relationships provide another thread through the project. ‘Take a Drive’ strips things back to the simple act of reconnecting with the person you love, while ‘No Good for Me’ heads somewhere messier, exploring the push and pull of knowing a relationship is bad for you but struggling to leave it behind. Beginning stripped-back and lo-fi before exploding into a bigger production, the song mirrors the volatility at the centre of its story. ‘Got It All’ then closes the EP by returning to brighter territory, an upbeat country-pop love song that brings some of the feel-good energy of ‘Wildside’ back to the record. Jake also took an unusually hands-on role in bringing the project to life, producing and mixing ‘Wildside’ and the wider EP himself. A singer, songwriter, producer, engineer and filmmaker, he studied audio production straight out of high school and has spent more than 15 years building a career across different corners of the music industry. “Audio production has always been a huge part of my life. Being able to write (alongside co writers), produce, engineer and mix this entire EP myself is something I’m really proud of. It’s given me the freedom to shape these songs from the initial idea right through to the finished record, and I think that’s a really unique part of what I bring to my music as an artist. I’ve been able to approach this project not just as a songwriter and performer, but from a production perspective too, and I think you can really hear that across the EP. It’s been a big part of creating the sound and identity of Right Where I’m At.” Previous singles from the EP have already received extensive airplay, landed Jake on the cover of Apple Music’s flagship Today’s Country playlist and earned support from Nova Fresh Country, Triple M Country and ABC Country. Davey was also featured on the US Ty Bentli Show during Apple Music’s Australian Music Month, with the episode focusing not only on his songwriting and camaraderie, but his remarkable second chance at life. Behind the growing catalogue, more than 2.5 million career streams and increasing connection with Nashville sits a story that almost brought Davey’s music career to an end. In 2023, he suffered a life-changing spinal cord injury and was told he may never walk again. Music became an important part of his recovery as he fought his way back to walking, eventually returning to the stage, writing and recording. Three years later, Davey found himself performing his own songs in Nashville during CMA Fest 2026, making his Music City performance debut at Sounds Australia’s THE AUSSIE BBQ at Martin’s Bar-B- Que Joint. The comeback is only one part of the story. Away from the stage, Davey is a husband and father balancing family life with running his own creative business and an increasingly busy music career. That combination of experiences gives Right Where I’m At its title more weight than simply marking a new release; it captures an artist who has been forced to reconsider where he is, what matters and what he wants to do with the opportunity in front of him. Now the singer-songwriter is gearing up to take his music to the stage, including an EP launch at Black Duck Brewery in Port Macquarie before returning to the Tamworth Country Music Festival in January. With ‘Wildside’ leading the charge, Right Where I’m At brings together the energy, vulnerability and hard-earned perspective of Jake Davey’s journey so far. It is a snapshot of an artist who knows exactly where he is creatively, while sounding more determined than ever to see where it can take him next. - Thank you to Wildheart Publicity.

  • CLANCY PYE TAKES THE SCENIC ROUTE TO LOVE WITH NEW SINGLE 'SUNDAY DRIVE'

Clancy Pye On SingerlinX Sometimes the best thing about the journey isn't where you're going, but who's sitting beside you. For Orange based country singer-songwriter Clancy Pye, that sentiment is at the heart of her new single, ‘Sunday Drive’, out today. A tender tribute to love and the beauty of life's little differences, ‘Sunday Drive’ finds Clancy pairing contemporary country songwriting with a delightfully traditional sound. Rolling banjo, glassy pedal steel and twangy electric guitars provide a fitting backdrop for her honeyed vocal, with an earworm chorus that feels as effortless as a lazy afternoon behind the wheel. At its heart, ‘Sunday Drive’ is a song about two people who don't necessarily see the world the same way but wouldn't want to navigate it with anybody else. One's a Friday night, the other's a Sunday afternoon. One's the neon sign, the other's the front porch light. Different in all the right ways, and better together because of it. “Lyrically, I wanted to explore that idea of ‘yin and yang’ in a relationship - how two people can be completely different yet complement each other in all the right ways as they navigate life’s twists, turns and uncertainties. They say the best part of life’s journey is who you get to share it with, and it was fun to weave that theme throughout the song.” Written by Clancy, ‘Sunday Drive’ was the final song recorded for her forthcoming debut album, Feels Like Home, and quickly became a favourite among the musicians who brought it to life. “I was lucky enough to record it with some of my favourite musicians - Pete Drummond, Michele Rose, Sean Rudd and my brother Mickey Pye. They each brought their own feel and ideas to the track.” A veritable A-list of session players, they brought the track to life at The Vault Studios with Sean Rudd (Lyn Bowtell, Luke O'Shea, Mickey Pye) sitting in the producer’s chair. Together they built an arrangement that balances old-school country charm with a contemporary edge - letting the song's sentiment shine without losing its playful spirit. “Musically, I wanted this song to feel like a Sunday drive - relaxed and easy-going, but with a few changes of gear along the way that make you want to turn the stereo up and sing along.” The new single follows the success of Clancy's previous single, ‘My Hometown’, which climbed to #1 on the Country Songs Top 40 Australian Airplay Chart, reached #17 on the AMRAP Regional Airplay Chart and earned a spot on Apple Music's New In Country editorial playlist. With more than 500,000 global streams to her name, Clancy is finding an increasingly receptive audience for her distinctly Australian brand of country music. Having spent much of the past two years touring alongside Tania Kernaghan and Jason Owen, Clancy is no stranger to taking her music beyond the Central West. In 2025, she also made her solo debut at the Gympie Music Muster, another milestone in a career that continues to gather momentum. Now, with a new album on the horizon, Clancy is looking forward to bringing her own songs to audiences across regional Australia, with plans for a tour to accompany the record. “As a songwriter, there is no better feeling than performing your own songs in front of an audience and being able to build those ‘in-person’ connections, so I’m really looking forward to playing the songs off this album live and experiencing those connections first-hand.” Warm, unhurried and full of heart, ‘Sunday Drive’ is a reminder that life's most meaningful moments aren't always the ones we plan. Sometimes all you need is an open road, a familiar song and the right person in the passenger seat. - Wildheart Publicity LISTEN HERE....
