The Zac Cross Band are the genuine article—a four-piece outfit born from the rugged cattle country of Rockhampton who are redefining the heartbeat of Australian Country Rock. Comprising Zac Cross (lead vocals, guitar), Lachlan Plant (lead guitar, backing vocals), Bailey Connor (percussion), and Jaymon Bob (bass), the band lives and breathes the stories they tell, creating a sound that contours the full spectrum of life's highs and lows.

Describing their music as a "sonic melting pot," the band draws from a vast array of influences ranging from Morgan Wallen and Keith Urban to Green Day and Linkin Park. This eclectic mix results in a groundbreaking style characterized by loud guitar riffs, stadium-shaking drums, and lyrics that shout their stories out loud. The band burst onto the scene in 2020 with their debut EP, Times Like These, produced by award-winner Jared Adlam. They quickly amassed hundreds of thousands of streams and secured spots on major editorial playlists like Spotify’s Fresh Country and Apple Music’s Country Lovin’.

2024 proved to be a landmark year, seeing the band support Josh Setterfield on a national tour and perform at major festivals including the Gympie Music Muster and Country Fest QLD. This momentum culminated in the 2025 release of their debut album, The Music Lives On. A raw reflection of Zac’s journey from rock bottom to redemption, the album catapulted their total streams to over 800,000 and launched their biggest headline tour to date.

Rounding out a massive year, the band released the heartfelt single "Promise," a track written as a surprise wedding gift for Zac’s wife that blends modern country rock with 90s nostalgia. Beyond the stage, the band is dedicated to giving back, playing a pivotal role annually for Our Rainbow House, a charity supporting orphaned children in Africa, often performing alongside icon Kasey Chambers.
