With almost a decade of touring under his belt, Troy Kemp stands as one of Australia’s most recognisable country music talents. A dynamic performer and songwriter, he has amassed an impressive collection of accolades, including a Golden Guitar, three CMC Awards, three People’s Choice Awards, and a Frank Ifield International Spur Award.

Troy first achieved widespread recognition and success as one half of the award-winning duo McAlister Kemp. For years, the pair remained a mainstay on country radio and television charts, headlining some of the nation's biggest music festivals and building a loyal following both locally and internationally.

Following the duo's disbandment in March 2015, Troy wasted no time establishing himself as a formidable solo artist. His debut solo album, Against The Grain, produced immediate hits, with the first two singles—"How We Roll Around Here" and "Small Town Girl"—climbing to the #1 spot on both the CMC and Australian Top 40 Country Radio Charts. His solo success was further solidified when he was named "Male Artist" and "Australian Artist of the Year" at the 2016 Planet Country Radio Awards and voted a top finalist for "Male Artist of The Year" at the 2017 CMC Awards alongside icons like Lee Kernaghan and Troy Cassar-Daley.

Troy’s versatility extends beyond his solo work. In 2018, he formed the side project "Tailgate Drive" with Damien Baguley of the Viper Creek Band; their debut single "Bury Me In Blue Jeans" secured them the "Rob Potts New Talent of the Year Award" at the 2018 CMC Awards. He also found success with the catchy duet "Hung Up On You" alongside Jayne Denham, which hit #1 on the CMC Chart and earned a Golden Guitar nomination for "Vocal Collaboration of the Year."
