Commanding audiences with soulful tones and an engrossing stage presence, Piper Butcher is an artist who demands attention. Hailing from the Hunter region, the 2024 CMAA Young Achiever of the Year blends the modern soulful flair of Chris Stapleton with the timeless influence of Stevie Nicks to create a sound that is unique, fresh, and deeply heartfelt.

Piper made an immediate impact with her debut EP September, which soared to #1 on the iTunes Alternative Album charts and #2 on the All-Genre charts. She followed this success with a string of powerful singles, including the AMRAP #1 hit "Unconscious Mind" and the vulnerable "Through The Night," which reached international audiences on U.S. Apple Music playlists. Her recent work includes the singles "Start of Something"—co-produced by Kasey Chambers and Brandon Dodd—and "Hard Love," proving her growth as a songwriter is only accelerating.

A seasoned performer, Piper was a Top 24 Finalist on Australian Idol and has paved her way supporting an impressive roster of acts, including Robben Ford, The Waifs, Kasey Chambers, and Killing Heidi. Recently, she embarked on her first national tour as the main support for Brad Cox, taking her powerful band performance to regional communities across Australia. She has also become a festival favourite, with a resume that includes the Tamworth Country Music Festival, Dashville Skyline, and a breakout international performance at Americanafest in Nashville.

Beyond the stage, Piper channels her passion into advocacy. Born with a cleft palate, she serves as a dedicated Ambassador for Operation Smile Australia and Variety The Children’s Charity, using her platform to support causes close to her heart.
