Growing up on a family farm in the 1970s, Lianna Rose’s connection to country music was forged early. Influenced by a diverse record collection—ranging from the storytelling of Loretta Lynn and John Prine to the rock edge of Tom Petty and even the heavy metal of Rammstein—she has developed a sound that is uniquely her own. A self-taught guitarist who first took the stage at age 14, Lianna’s career is defined by her evolution from an outback touring musician into one of Australia’s most respected songwriters.

Lianna’s breakthrough came when she shifted her focus from cover songs to her own original material, eventually signing with Mushroom Music Publishing in 2007. Her songwriting prowess is evident in the tracks she has penned for artists like Adam Brand, and her music has found a wide audience through film and television. Her single "Jack" was featured in the Paul Hogan film Charlie & Boots, while several other tracks from her debut album, Soak Up The World, have appeared on Home and Away and Neighbours.

A multi-award winner, Lianna’s accolades include the Golden Saddles Award for Excellence and the Rising Female Artist Award at the Southern Stars Independent Music Awards. In 2010, she earned three prestigious Golden Guitar nominations for Female Artist of the Year, Video Clip of the Year, and New Talent of the Year. Her hit single "I Want My Tractor Back" remains a fan favourite, reaching the Top 5 and featuring a memorable music video with Rose Tattoo’s Angry Anderson.
