At just 21, Ella Powell has already proven herself as one of the most exciting voices in Australian country-pop. Bringing a fresh flair to the genre, she blends the heart of country storytelling with contemporary pop influences and innovative instrumentation. Her sound—often compared to Ashe, Lana Del Rey, and Kacey Musgraves—pushes country-pop into bold, uncharted territory that is refreshing, relatable, and unforgettable.

Ella’s passion for music began early. Raised amidst the serene English countryside, her childhood was soundtracked by legends like Eva Cassidy, The Beatles, and Oasis. By age 10, armed with a mini guitar and a purple notebook, she started writing songs in her bedroom. Just over a decade later, she has transitioned from that bedroom to performing at major festivals across Australia and supporting iconic artists.

Ella’s rise began in earnest in 2019 when she won the People’s Choice Award at the Tamworth Country Music Festival. Most recently, she returned to the festival as a Toyota Star Maker Grand Finalist, joining the ranks of country greats like Kaylee Bell and Keith Urban. Her debut EP, The End of the Beginning, has surpassed half a million streams and earned significant playlist support, while her single "Passerby" reached the status of the third most downloaded song for radio across all genres in Australia.

Emerging into 2025 with a refreshed image and renewed energy, Ella is poised to leave a lasting mark on Australia’s music landscape. With a fearless, genre-blending sound and a growing fanbase, she is setting up 2026 to be her biggest year yet.
