Darren Gillis is an award-winning Australian Country Music artist whose musical journey is woven from the threads of personal experience. Drawing inspiration from the tapestry of life, Darren skilfully crafts diverse country tracks that serve as melodic reflections of his unique perspective on the world.

The years 2024 and 2025 marked a period of rapid success for Darren. After kicking off a tour through Western Australia's wheatbelt and Midwest regions, he quickly secured back-to-back victories, winning first place at the Lancelin Busker’s Festival and taking home the title of Emerging Artist Winner at the Chapman Valley Country Music Festival.

Following these wins, Darren took his caravan and guitar across the country to fulfill a lifelong dream of performing at the Tamworth Country Music Festival. There, he secured a Top 5 position in the 2TM Discovered competition and performed on major stages including the FanZone and JB Hi-Fi Stage. Upon returning West, his momentum continued as he won the People’s Choice Award at the Western Australian Country Music Awards in Boyup Brook.

Darren’s connection to regional communities runs deep. On his return to Western Australia in April 2025, he partnered with St John Ambulance in Tambellup to headline a major fundraiser. The sold-out event raised over $17,000 for a new ambulance, with 100% of proceeds going directly to the cause.

Darren’s songwriting has garnered significant industry acclaim. His hit song "Drink" was featured on Country Music Television (CMT) and reached the semi-finals of the International Songwriting Competition. Additionally, his emotive track "Cuss the Black Dog" saw him nominated as a Top 5 finalist for the WAM Song of the Year (Outstanding Regional Category). Most recently, he was nominated for Best Male Artist at the ICMA Awards.

With several successful singles already in the charts, Darren is currently in the studio planning the release of his highly anticipated debut album.
