Ben Walker is not your typical songwriter. British-born but now calling Sydney's Northern Beaches home, he crafts songs of heart, soul, joy, and hope. Known for his poignancy and insight, Ben combines soulful melodies with storytelling that invites listeners to laugh, cry, and reflect deeply.

After beginning his recording journey in 2020, Ben achieved a significant breakthrough in 2022 with his song "I Won't Forget." A collaboration with Allan Caswell, Beth Lucas, and Stephen Dobson, the track soared to #1 on the Australian Country Radio Chart and was named a semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition (Folk Category). In September 2024, Ben released his highly anticipated debut album, A Place I Like To Go To, further cementing his reputation as a master craftsman of song.

Ben's work has drawn high praise from industry figures like Stuart Coupe, who refuses to box him into a single genre. Coupe notes: "Are they folk? Are they country? Does it really matter? ...They rank amongst some of the finest examples of songwriting coming from this country." He compares Ben's ability to transcend labels to greats like Paul Kelly and Kasey Chambers, stating simply: "He’s a writer of songs. That’s what he does."

Seeing Ben perform is an event in itself. His solo shows are intimate and captivating, characterised by a disarming honesty that draws audiences in. Each performance is an emotional journey, with every song serving as a distinct chapter in a larger, compelling narrative
