8 Ball Aitken is a globetrotting singer, songwriter, guitarist, and producer who has toured his unique blend of blues, soul, swamp-rock, and groovy slide-guitar across more than twenty countries. With a loyal fanbase built on electric live shows and a strong internet presence, he has paid his dues on the international circuit and earned his reputation as a true master of his craft.

In 2012, 8 Ball relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, where he spent nine years working alongside some of the biggest names in the blues business. His mastery of the genre was recognised internationally when he took home second place at the 2021 International New Orleans Cigar Box Guitar Festival. Most recently, he and his band, alongside collaborator Taya Chani, were selected to represent the Blues Association of South East Queensland at the prestigious International Blues Challenge in Memphis in January 2026.

A prolific recording artist, 8 Ball's self-produced albums ICE CREAM MAN and ICE CREAM MAN 2 both hit #1 on the Australian Blues & Roots Charts. These records featured heavyweights like Grammy-winning drummer Tom Hambridge (Buddy Guy) and saxophone legend Buddy Leach (George Thorogood & The Destroyers). He returned in 2025 with the collaborative album Nightbird, written and produced with soul singer Taya Chani at his Glass House Mountains studio. The project proved an instant hit, with the title track and the single "Miss You The Most" both reaching #1 on the Australian AMRAP Regional Charts.

Critics worldwide have praised 8 Ball for his authentic sound, with Chicago Blues Guide noting that he proves "the blues are alive and well Down Under." Whether described as having "the Delta in his bones" or being an "unstoppable" live force by Australian rock legend Ross Wilson, 8 Ball Aitken continues to demonstrate why he is a festival favourite in both Australia and the USA.
